* WHAT...Heavy snow, mixing with and changing to sleet late this afternoon and then mixing with or changing to light freezing rain tonight. Additional snow and sleet accumulations between 3 and 5 inches and ice accumulations up to one tenth of an inch. Winds gusting as high as 40 mph.
* WHERE...Portions of northeast New Jersey and southeast New York.
* WHEN...Until 1 PM EST Monday.
* IMPACTS...Roads, and especially bridges and overpasses, are already slick and hazardous. Visibilities may drop below 1/4 mile due to falling and blowing snow.
Although the accumulating snow has ended, roadways and walkways will remain icy and slippery with some occasional light snow and flurries through this morning. Some locations have received spotty light freezing drizzle as well. Exercise caution if traveling or being outdoors as temperatures will remain well below freezing.
