* WHAT...Very cold wind chills as low as 19 below zero expected.
* WHERE...Portions of central, east central, north central, and west central Indiana.
* WHEN...From 4 AM Monday to 9 AM EST Tuesday.
* IMPACTS...The dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes. Very cold temperatures can lead to hypothermia with prolonged exposure.
A 3 to 4 hour period of light snow is expected this evening into the early overnight with scattered flurries lingering through the remainder of the night. Light accumulations less than an inch are possible focused especially across the northern half of central Indiana. Untreated roads will become slick and snow covered. Increasing winds and bitterly cold temperatures late tonight into Monday morning will support blowing snow, especially in rural areas. Challenging travel conditions are possible this evening through Monday morning. Use caution and allow for extra time to reach your destination.
