...FIRE WEATHER WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM TO 7 PM MONDAY FOR THE WEST CENTRAL MOUNTAINS AND THE NORTHEAST HIGHLANDS DUE TO STRONG WINDS AND LOW HUMIDITY VALUES... .Critical fire weather conditions are expected to develop on Monday across the Northeast Highlands along and east of the I-25 corridor from Ribera to Las Vegas to Raton as well as across the West Central Mountains from Gallup to Grants. Strong southwest winds and low humidity values will allow any fire that starts to spread rapidly. The greatest concern exists across the Northeast Highlands. The National Weather Service in Albuquerque has issued a Fire Weather Watch...which is in effect from Monday morning through Monday evening.
* AREA AND TIMING...This includes the Northeast Highlands (Zone 123) and the West Central Mountains (Zone 105) from late Monday morning through Monday evening.
* 20 FOOT WINDS...Southwest 20 to 25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.
* RELATIVE HUMIDITY...Minimum values between 8 and 13 percent.
* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly. Outdoor burning is not recommended.
